In an earlier article covering bold, new and innovative ideation among businesses affected by the Covid-19 crisis, WWNews reported that several distilleries and breweries around New Zealand had switched from producing vodka and pale ales to making hand sanitiser, a move praised by the Prime Minister as thinking outside the box and being a potential life-saver for all New Zealanders.
In particular we lauded the efforts of local beer-maker Tui – after trying a bottle from the sampler pack our own independent testers found it not only killed both the Covid-19 and SARS viruses but took three layers of paint off an old shed door.
Representatives of law firm Hedge, Bicker and Quibble, acting on behalf of Tui Breweries, have today written to WWNews pointing out their clients have never produced hand sanitiser in any form, and have no intention of doing so.
WWNews apologises unreservedly for the error.
