New Lord of the Rings movies announced

Resene ups production of green paint, shortage of No Doz tablets likely

Fans of LOTR were dancing in the streets overnight after Warner Brothers ( not the real ones) announced two new Rings movies are to be made.

With casting nearly completed, more big names will be revealed soon according to source

The movies, a triple joint venture between Warner Brothers, Dead Horse Floggery and Blood From A Stone Films, are already in the pre-production phase.  A source close to the action says the scripts will be based on unused parts of Tolkien’s trilogy– the binding of Book 2 – and some other scripts and props lying around the place.

The first film, titled workingly as LOTR – The Stretch of Credulity, will be directed by Andy Serkis.  He will reprise his role as Gollum, as well as playing the Massed Armies of Snaw and a squadron of Lancaster bombers.

Initial shooting going well, sources say

The first movie is scheduled to hit the theatres in 2026.  Viewing time is estimated to be 2027.
